About the hair
What is raw hair, and how is it different from virgin or Remy hair?
Raw hair has never been chemically processed in any way — no steam, no perming, no acid wash. The texture is what grew naturally out of one donor's head.
Virgin hair has not been coloured or permed, but it may still have been steam-processed to create a uniform curl pattern. Remy hair refers only to cuticle alignment: the strands all face the same direction, but the hair may be collected from several donors and may have been processed. So Remy is a lower bar than virgin, and virgin is a lower bar than raw.
What does single donor actually mean?
One head of hair per bundle. Texture and density stay consistent through the whole bundle and it blends with itself instead of fighting. Mixed-donor hair tangles at the nape because cuticles run in different directions.
How long will it last?
Raw hair is bought to be reused across multiple installs rather than thrown out at the end of one. How long yours lasts depends almost entirely on care: how you wash it, whether you use heat, and whether you seal the wefts. The honest answer is that care matters more than origin.
Can I colour or bleach it?
Raw hair takes colour better than processed hair because it has not already been chemically stressed. Have it done by a licensed stylist — lifting hair is where most extensions get ruined, and colouring voids nothing on our end but it does put the outcome in your stylist's hands. If you are aiming for a specific level, ask us about the texture you are considering before you buy.
Which origin and texture should I choose?
Burmese is our tightest natural curl and the piece customers reorder most. Cambodian is mostly wavy and is our largest collection. Lao has a soft wave on a slightly coarser strand. Raw Indian runs wavy through straight.
The practical rule: match the extension texture to your own hair when it is unstraightened, so your leave-out blends without daily heat. Our raw hair buying guide compares all four origins side by side.
How many bundles do I need?
For most installs, three bundles is the standard answer. Two can be enough for shorter lengths, and 24 inches and above usually wants three or four because longer hair tapers and needs more weight to look full. If you are also getting a closure or frontal, count that separately.
There is a fuller breakdown by length in our raw hair buying guide.
Tell us your length and the look you are after and we will give you a number rather than upselling you.
Do you sell wigs already made?
Yes. We make HD lace wigs, frontal wigs and closure wigs from the same raw hair. They start at $795 and reach about $1,726 in the longest lengths.
Our wig buying guide explains what 13x4, 13x6, 5x5 and 7x7 mean, the difference between HD and regular lace, and how to pick a cap size.
Orders and shipping
How much does shipping cost?
Within the United States, standard shipping is $30 and express is $75. To Canada, standard is $95 and express is $115. Everywhere else is calculated at checkout by the carrier based on your address. Your exact cost is shown before you pay.
How long until it arrives?
Allow 3 to 5 days for your order to be prepared and shipped. Once it ships, US delivery takes 5 to 7 business days and international delivery takes 7 to 10 business days, weekends excluded.
HD wigs are made after you order and need about 5 days of build time before they ship, so plan for that on top of transit if you have a date in mind.
Do I need to be there to sign for it?
Yes. Every order requires a signature on delivery. This protects you as much as us — it is how we can tell a package actually reached you. Once a package has been signed for, we are not liable for it, so please use an address where someone can receive it. If you are never home during the day, a work address is the safer choice.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Customs duties, import taxes and brokerage fees are set by your own country and are not included in what you pay us. Those charges are the customer's responsibility, and we have no way to calculate or waive them.
Can I return or exchange it?
All sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges.
We would rather tell you that plainly before you order than surprise you afterwards. It is also why we would genuinely rather you start with one bundle: buy one, wash it, see whether the texture comes back, and order the rest once you know. If you are unsure what to get, ask us first — email or call and we will help you choose. We are not able to refund a package that is returned to us.
Getting help
How do I reach you?
Email support@truebeautyhairinc.com or call 929-354-7579. We are TRUEBEAUTYHAIR INC, 1178 Broadway, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10001.
How will I know when something is back in stock?
Single-donor hair cannot be reordered on demand — a texture comes in, the popular lengths go, and then there is a wait. The fastest way to hear about a restock is to sign up for text alerts. Two to four messages a month, and you can stop them any time.
Can you help me pick before I buy?
That is the part we actually like. Send us your install plan, the length you want and your budget, and we will tell you exactly what to order. If the answer is fewer bundles than you were planning, we will say so.
