TRUEBEAUTYHAIR INC is a raw hair extension company based in New York City. We sell raw, single-donor hair and handmade wigs to people who are tired of replacing bundles every few months.
What raw hair means here
Raw hair has never been chemically processed. No steam, no perming, no acid bath to force a texture into it. The wave or curl you see is the pattern that grew out of one person's head, which is why it comes back after washing instead of going limp.
Single donor means one head of hair per bundle. The cuticles all run the same direction, so the hair does not mat at the nape, and the texture and density stay consistent from the top of the bundle to the bottom. When hair is collected from many donors and mixed, cuticles run every direction and it tangles no matter how carefully you treat it.
That is the whole difference, and it is the reason our hair costs more than a bundle you can buy for $60.
What we carry
We stock four origins, each with its own natural texture:
- Cambodian — our largest collection, mostly wavy and curly
- Raw Indian — wavy through straight
- Burmese — the curly texture customers reorder most
- Lao — soft wave, coarser strand
Those come as wefts and bundles, closures, frontals, tape-ins, clip-ins, and bulk hair for braiding.
If you would rather not build an install from parts, we make wigs — including HD lace, frontal, and closure constructions.
Bundles start at $146 and run to about $352 depending on origin and length, with bulk braiding hair from $134. Closures start at $154 and frontals at $286. Wigs start at $795 and reach about $1,726 in the longest lengths. We do not run a permanent fake sale to make those numbers look like a discount.
How we'd rather do business
We would rather talk you into the right piece than sell you the wrong one. If you tell us your install plan, your length, and your budget, we will tell you what to order — including when the answer is fewer bundles than you were about to buy.
We are a small business, not a dropshipper. We hold our own inventory in New York. When something goes wrong you reach an actual person, and our phone number is on this page rather than buried in a help center.
We would rather you test us than trust us. The honest way to check whether hair is really raw is to buy one bundle, wash it, and see whether the texture comes back. That is the only test that matters, and we would rather you run it on one bundle than take our word for three.
Where to start
Most first orders are one of three things: a wig if you want something ready to wear, two or three wavy or curly bundles if you have a stylist, or bulk hair if you braid.
